Phase transformation behavior of nanocrystalline Ni-W-P alloys containing various W and P contents

►Ternary NiWP coatings with various W and P contents are prepared by electroless method. ►Annealed NiWP (high P) deposits showed the presence of metastable phases (Ni5P2 and NiP). ►Thermal stability increases with tungsten codeposition in NiP matrix. ►Activation energy for the crystallization process of NiWP (low P) deposits is high.
