Microstructure, fatigue and corrosion properties of the Ti-Al intermetallic layers

► Ti-Al intermetallic layers with external Al2O3 by duplex treatment on Ti6Al2Cr2Mo alloy. ► Duplex treatment significantly improved the fatigue properties of titanium alloy. ► Diffusive TiAl layers exhibit superior adhesion to the titanium substrate. ► Ti-Al layers show excellent stability of mechanical properties in H2S.
