Co-electrodeposition and characterization of Cu-Si3N4 composite coatings

► Cu-Si3N4 composite layers were obtained by electrodeposition. ► Particle concentration and stirring influenced the amount of embedded particles. ► The composites had higher strength but lower ductility than pure copper.
