Ti-coated SiC particle reinforced sintered Fe-Cu-Sn alloy

► A novel technology of coating Ti on SiC particle surfaces. ► The coating layer was composed of SiC, Ti5Si3, TiC, and Ti. ► Tests and calculation are provided to measure the interface bonding of SiC/matrix. ► Ti-coated SiC grits were used as the wear controller for iron-based diamond tools.
