Effect of substrate surface temperature on the microstructure and ionic conductivity of lanthanum silicate coatings deposited by plasma spraying

► APS is used to elaborate apatite coatings as electrolyte for IT-SOFC. ► We exam the porosity of coatings at different substrate temperatures (TS). ► We calculate the crystallinity of coatings at different TS. ► We measure the ionic conductivity of coatings at different TS. ► Increasing TS is feasible to increase the ionic conductivity.
