Performance, emission and combustion improvements in a direct injection diesel engine using cashew nut shell oil as fuel with camphor oil blending

▸ A new attempt is made with blend of cashew nut shell oil and camphor oil. ▸ Engine develops power equivalent to diesel fuel with the brake thermal efficiency of 29.1%. ▸ The combustion and heat release pattern is very similar to diesel fuel operation. ▸ The NO emission from CMPRO 30 blend is slightly smaller than NO from diesel fuel. ▸ Results of similar works have been included.
