Proposal for a low CO2 emission power generation system utilizing oceanic methane hydrate

▸ We proposed a low CO2 emission power generation system utilizing oceanic methane hydrate. ▸ A power generation system with a CO2 recovery rate of 94% and thermal efficiency of 32% was established. ▸ Appropriate pipe diameter of the hot water injection pipe was estimated at about 0.4 m. ▸ The relationship between appropriate insulation material and its thickness were evaluated.
