Thermochemical process for seasonal storage of solar energy: Characterization and modeling of a high density reactive bed

▸ High density reactive beds for thermochemical storage are characterized. ▸ Different implementations of the solid/gas reactive bed salt are tested. ▸ Energy storage about 450 kWh m−3 and specific powers about 2 W/kg are obtained. ▸ A model of solid/gas thermochemical reaction is developed and validated.
