Mass attenuation coefficients of saccharides for low-energy X-rays

Mass attenuation coefficients have been measured for mono- and disaccharides at photon energies 5.947, 6.460 and 14.413 keV. The measured values are compared with theoretical calculations. The agreement between experiment and theory is generally within 5%.
