Serum uric acid and lipid profiles in sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease

Conclusions: The low serum uric acid and LDL/HDL ratio levels in sporadic CJD indicate that dysfunction in the lipid homeostasis and oxidative stress is associated with sporadic prion disease.
