Serum testosterone quantitation by liquid chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry: Interference from blood collection tubes

► Collection tube interference on testosterone quantitation by LC-MS/MS was examined. ► Significant interferences were found in some types of blood collection tubes. ► The interference was attributed to the separator gel polymer. ► Examination of blood collection tube must be part of development of LC-MS/MS assays.
