Subacute toxicity of antimicrobial peptide S-thanatin in ICR mice

► Few studies on toxicity of antimicrobial peptide have been reported. ► Hematology and biochemical tests and pathological assay were investigated. ► S-thanatin has no obvious dose-dependent toxicity to normal functions in ICR mice. ► S-thanatin is a promising candidate to cure drug-resistant pathogens infections.
