Synthesis and biological evaluation of partially fluorinated antiprogestins and mesoprogestins

► A number of novel steroidal PR-modulators were designed and synthesized. ► These compounds exhibit a spectrum of antiprogestin to mesoprogestin activity. ► Agonistic PR-modulators that inhibit ovulation are promising agents for the treatment of various gynecological disorders.
