Synthesis and cytotoxicity of some novel 21E-benzylidene steroidal derivatives

- Fourteen novel 21E-benzylidene steroidal derivatives were synthesized.
- Cytotoxicities against brine shrimps and LLC cells of these compounds were evaluated.
- Most compounds showed marked toxic activity against brine shrimps.
