Évaluation et comparaison des logiciels de traçabilité utilisés en stérilisation

A quality system must be settled to control the production line. In French legislation, the use of data processing by computers is not mandatory but it seems to be important to get a sufficiency, a reassurance, an availability and an ability of filing of all these information. Objective: With the intention to the computerization of our hospital's sterilization department, we compared and evaluated some computer solutions available on the market: production software and control software. Methods: We realized two studies. The first one is a providers survey to describe the several functions of each software. Many criterions were searched. A point was attributed to each existing criterion. This allowed us to obtain a score for each software. Secondly, a user survey allowed us to understand how these people use their software and to evaluate their satisfaction level. Results: there is not any perfect software. The users survey shows that the users do not always profit from functions of their software and their satisfaction levels are dependent on the answers given by the providers. Conclusion: This study puts many information available so that future users will be able to choose objectively a software.
