In an effort to make the Robert Debré pharmacy compliant with the latest standards pertaining medical devices, the prime goal was to ensure secure, computer-assisted stock management. Material and method : The storage system has been automated. It consists in three Hanel rotating shelves driven by the Savart & Michel software, Copilote®. Results and discussion : At present, there are 530 in-stock medical devices and 2 750 out-of-stock medical devices. The pharmacy takes medical devices delivery requests generated by hospital units via the Copilote® Intranet module. Each unit has its own collection medical devices pre-defined lists. Out-of-stock requests are forwarded to the finances division as orders. In-stock requests are delivered by the pharmacy. Accurate stock level monitoring ensures just-in-time stock orders, also forwarded to the finances division. For both kinds of orders, Copilote® provides the finances division with a bar-coded list of the products and - concurrently - generates the corresponding input list awaiting the foreseen delivery. Copilote® ensures real-time stock delivery and invoice, invasive medical devices tracking and quality monitoring of such parameters as stock shortage warnings and emergency deliveryâ¦
