Reduced expression of the DOG1 gene in Arabidopsis mutant seeds lacking the transcript elongation factor TFIIS

► Arabidopsis plants lacking TFIIS are severely affected in seed dormancy. ► Transcript profiling revealed that expression of the dormancy QTL DOG1 is down-regulated in tfIIs mutant seeds. ► The reduced expression of DOG1 is likely involved in the seed dormancy phenotype of tfIIs plants.
