► Fibrinogenolytic activity of Jellyfish Tentacle Extract (JFTE) detected. ► Fibrinogenolysis appears to be due to serine and metalloproteases. ► Both Aα and Bβ chains of fibrinogen digested. ► Autodegradation of proteins does not abolish fibrinogenolytic activity.
