Recognition of Vipera ammodytes meridionalis neurotoxin vipoxin and its components using phage-displayed scFv and polyclonal antivenom sera

► Human recombinant scFv antibodies against vipoxin and its components were obtained. ► The scFv antibodies inhibited the enzymatic activity of vipoxin and its sPLA2. ► Six of the selected scFv antibodies inhibited the hemolytic activity of toxic sPLA2.
