Natural products as lead structures: chemical transformations to create lead-like libraries

- Twenty-four libraries generated using natural products as guiding structures were analyzed.
- The variation of two main lead-like descriptors (MW, logP) within the libraries was analyzed.
- Three distributions trends (MW vs logP) in the library generation were identified.
- A schematic approach for the design of a lead-like library is suggested.
