ABCB2 (TAP1) as the downstream target of SHH signaling enhances pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma drug resistance

► We revealed a new mechanism of SHH-GLI1 signaling in PDAC drug resistance. ► TAP1 (ABCB2) gene expression has a positive correlation with SHH expression. ► Expression of TAP1 gene changes the tumor sensitivity to gemcitabine. ► Targeting SHH-GLI1 has synergistic anti-tumor effect with routine chemotherapy.
