Proteomic characterization of human early pro-angiogenic cells

► We have analyzed and mapped the proteome and secretome of human EPCs. ► Few secreted proteins discriminated EPCs from monocytes and HUVECs. ► For the secretome, "platelets alpha granule" was returned as the top category. ► The presence of platelet alpha granules was confirmed by electron microscopy. ► The cathepsin L inhibitor stimulated the secretion of S100 proteins.
