Magnetic stimulation modulates structural synaptic plasticity and regulates BDNF-TrkB signal pathway in cultured hippocampal neurons

► Magnetic stimulation (MS) of different intensities change cultured neurons morphology. ► The changes of synaptic protein markers expression are also confirmed induced by MS. ► MS upregulate BDNF-TrkB level and activate both MAPK/ERK and PI3K/Akt pathways. ► MS modulates structural synaptic plasticity via BDNF-TrkB pathways.
