Factors affecting natal and breeding magpie dispersal in a population parasitized by the great spotted cuckoo

► Heaviest recruits settled closer to their natal nests and bred in saturated sites. ► Females and parasitized males dispersed less when they breed close to other pairs. ► Non-parasitized males breeding near to other pairs dispersed more the next year. ► Results revealed density-dependent dispersal in a parasitized magpie population.
