Home range size is determined by habitat composition but feeding rate by food availability in male Tengmalm's owls

► We manipulated food availability at Tengmalm's owl nests. ► We examined effects on male behaviour and female and fledgling condition. ► Higher food availability decreased provisioning rate by male. ► It also improved condition of the female and fledglings.
