Learning in the context of sexual behaviour and danger in female and male Drosophila pseudoobscura

► We tested for learning in the context of mate choice in female Drosophila pseudoobscura. ► Early experience did not affect the females' propensity to mate heterospecifically. ► In an avoidance learning test, the females learned as well as the males.
