Facing multiple information sources while foraging on successive patches: how does a parasitoid deal with experience?

► We study the effect of experience on parasitoid wasps' host patch foraging behaviour. ► We show that wasps give equal weights to older and more recent experiences. ► Among three redundant information sources, only the eggs previously laid are informative. ► The adaptive value of this cue is discussed in regard to the wasp environment.
