Synthesis and improved photochromic properties of pyrazolones in the solid state by incorporation of halogen

Four novel photochromic pyrazolones have been prepared by introducing halogen substituent onto the skeleton. All as-synthesized compounds exhibit excellent reversible photochromic performance in the solid state.66
