Growth and physicochemical properties of l-phenylalaninium maleate: A novel nonlinear optical crystal

► Systematic studies have resulted in the growth of high quality LPM crystals. ► Dielectric, photoluminescence, conductivity studies and SEM analysis were reported for the first time. ► The material exhibits good optical transparency in UV, Vis and NIR regions. ► The results suggest that LPM could be expected to be a suitable candidate for the NLO applications.
