Synthesis, spectral, thermal, X-ray single crystal of new RuCl2(dppb)diamine complexes and their application in hydrogenation of Cinnamic aldehyde

► A new series of ruthenium(II) complexes of type [RuCl2(dppb)(N-N)] were synthesized now. ► Elemental analysis, IR, FAB-MS, NMR, electronic spectral techniques and TG/DTA were investigated. ► XRD crystal data of 2L1 have confirmed the proposed structural formula of such complexes. ► Synthesized complexes have showed very good catalytic activity in the hydrogenation reactions of Cinnamic aldehyde.
