Simultaneous separation and preconcentration of Cr(III), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) from environmental samples prior to inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometric determination

► In this study, a new sorbent was prepared by using rhodamine 6G modified activated carbon. ► The experimental conditions on adsorption of Cr(III), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) were studied. ► The method has been applied for the determination of trace metals in real samples.
