Synthesis, crystal structures and spectral properties of 6′-phenyl-2,2′-bipyridine derivatives and their CdLI2 complexes

Two novel 6′-phenyl-2,2′-bipyridine ligands (L1, L2) and their CdL1,2I2 complexes (1, 2) were designed, synthesized. Spectral properties were studied based on both experimentally and theoretically.
