Growth and characterization of pure and glycine doped cadmium thiourea sulphate (GCTS) crystals

► The effect of glycine on the growth of CTS single crystal was studied. ► The interaction of dopants with CTS molecule was studied using Fourier transform infrared spectra. ► Mechanical stability, transmittance and SHG efficiency of GCTS is better than pure CTS.
