Binding of benzodiazepine drugs to bovine serum albumin: A second derivative spectrophotometric study

► Binding constants of benzodiazepines to BSA were determined by derivative spectrophotometry. ► The derivative spectra indicate the entire elimination of background signals. ► The interactions of the drugs were examined using Scatchard plot. ► The calculated fractions of bound benzodiazepines agreed with the experimental values. ► The validity of the proposed method was confirmed.
