Theoretical investigations of optical spectra and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of LiCl:Ni2+ crystals

► The energy levels are calculate and the multiplet energy are assigned. ► The SH parameters g factors and ZFS parameter are studied. ► The contributions to the SH parameters from the CT mechanism are calculated. ► Equilibrium impurity-ligand distances R1, R2 and the displacement R are established.
