Reactions of titanocene dihalides with N,N′,N″-chelates: Preparation, X-ray structure and characterization of bis(chloro){2,6-bis[(3,5-dimethyl)pyrazol-1-yl]pyridine}(η2-peroxo)titanium(IV)

The reaction of bis(chloro)bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(IV) with the N,N′,N″-chelate 2,6-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl-1-yl)pyridine in acetone gives an interesting, cyclopentadienyl-free 7-coordinate titanium(IV) complex containing a side-on peroxo ligand.
