Copper diazine spin ladders: Synthesis, structure and magnetic analyses of Cu(2-methylthiopyrazine)Br2

Reaction of CuBr2 with 2-methylthiopyrazine yields the coordination polymer [Cu(meSpz)Br2]n. Analysis of the temperature dependant magnetic data indicates that the complex is a strong-rung magnetic ladder.
