Interpretation of Scanning Kelvin Probe potential maps for coated steel using semi-quantitative current density maps

A numerical method of plotting current density maps from SKP potential maps to reveal patterns of electrochemical activity at the interface between an organic coating and a metal is described and used to analyse some previously published SKP maps.
