Synthesis and characterization of Pd-poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)/KIT-5 nanocomposite for Heck reaction

► Pd-PVP/KIT-5 was prepared as a novel heterogeneous nanocomposite. ► The nanocomposite was prepared based on a cage-type mesoporous system. ► The catalyst was used for the Heck reactions of various aryl halides with styrene. ► The stability of the catalyst was excellent and could be reused eight times.
