The formation of V2O5–K2SO4 with macroscopic shapes was successfully obtained by combining carbon nanofibers templates (CNFs) with wet impregnation methods. Furthermore, its application for the combustion of carbon black (CB), which is a model of particulate matter exhausted from diesel engines, was demonstrated.
