Geometry of dimples and its correlation with mechanical properties in austenitic stainless steel

Two-dimensional dimple geometry and the distribution of dimple features (i.e. diameter and density) quantified from tensile fractographs are observed to predict the nature of the variation in mechanical properties with strain rate.
