Hydrothermal vs. electrodeposited CuxO for photocatalytic applications under simulated solar illumination

► CuxO can be synthesized by different simple aqueous solution methods. ► Hydrothermally (HT) synthesized CuO exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity. ► After repeated use, initial performance level of HT CuO can be easily recovered.
