Synthesis and structural characterization of two-dimensional hierarchical covellite nano-structures

► A novel reaction scheme is proposed for synthesizing covellite 2D nano-structures. ► The nanostructures were thoroughly characterized, both structurally and chemically. ► Through variation of synthetic parameters a general growth mechanism is proposed.
