The synthesis and properties of ZnO-graphene nano hybrid for photodegradation of organic pollutant in water

► Both sides of the graphene were coated by ZnO nanoparticles in ZnO-graphene hybrid. ► Lattice constants and band gap energy of ZnO-G changed compared with the pure ZnO. ► ZnO-G prepared at 200 oC containing 2.5% graphene exhibited the highest activity. ► Activity for photodegradation of MB retained above 80% after 5 times use.
