Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) films filled with LiCl of mass fraction range 2 ≤ W ≤ 10 wt.% were prepared by casting technique by using N,N-dimethylacetamide as a solvent. Fourier transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis indicated the presence of α- and γ-phases of PVDF. The maximum content of these phases increment at 6 and 4 wt.%, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies were carried out and show that the degree of crystallinity increases as doped concentration increase up to 2 wt.% and it is nearly constant up to 8 wt.%. The presence of α- and γ-phases were confirmed by XRD analysis. Morphology of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that as the content of LiCl increase, the films surface become rough with some small aggregates, but the particles are well distributed in the entire surface region. dc electrical conduction values increase with increasing temperature and filling level (FL) for all samples. This increase can be explained with the help of free volume theory.
