Intensity modulation of VCSELs under feedback with two reflectors and self-mixing interferometer

The self-mixing fringes spaced according to each λ/34 optical displacement of the target are, for the first time, observed which provides a method to enhance the resolution of measurement with 17 times and discriminate the movement direction of target. A theory which is in good agreement with the experiment results is proposed.
