The isothermal section at 800 °C and an AlSb-Zn quasi-binary cut in the Al-Sb-Zn system

► In this study we examined Al-Sb-Zn system. ► We were focused on the first experimental determination of a quasy-binary eutectic point eAlSb-Zn. ► Using the CALPHAD method the AlSb-Zn quasi binary cut is also predicted and was also confirmed. ► The position of (AlSb + Liquid) region is asymmetric and pushed into the Sb-Zn binary system at 800 °C.
