The study of grain boundary density effect on multi-grain thin film under tension

► We have investigated mechanical properties of dependence on multi-grain thin film. ► Simulation results show that hardening rate and yield stress of thin film depend on GB density. ► The distributions of slip system mediate the yield property of thin film. ► The simulation results reveal linear relationship between normalized yield stress and GB density.
