Finite-element modelling of bending of CFRP laminates: Multiple delaminations

Finite element models are developed to study damage process in woven laminates. Properties of cohesive layers require calibration based on experimental tests. Damage initiation and growth is sensitive to the size of cohesive zone elements. Simulation needs an optimum number of cohesive elements in the interface region.
