Application of a cantilevered SWCNT with mass at the tip as a nanomechanical sensor

► The continuum mechanics and a bending model is applied to obtain the resonant frequency of the fixed-free SWCNT. ► The single walled carbon nanotubes is sensitive to different masses. ► By increasing the value of attached mass, the values of resonant frequency are decreased.
